More about Testing for Ionic Metals
By
now we all know why we have to test for the presence of
Ionic Transition Metals. They are electrically charged
metals (anything from lead to mercury, cadmium, iron, copper,
zinc and so on) which stick to the body like hair sticks
to the balloon and build up to 'toxic' levels.but
they also produce avalanches of free radicals!
The
test itself and subsequent usage of CH77 still seems to
be problematic for a number of practitioners...hence I
decided to write a bit more about testing for ionic metals
and their 'neutralisation'.
The Test: Place approximately 12 drops (0.8 ml) of TESSOL
in the test tube.
NOTE: after
a couple of times of using the test you don't have to count
the drops any more. Just squirt the TESSOL into the test
tube to the approximately right level. We do not want to
be too 'scientifically' accurate (for that we
have to go to a laboratory and laboratory trained people
will do the job). but rather want to get an idea whether ionic
metals are present or not! And THAT the test will always
show. Please keep in mind that the test is based on the oldest
chemical method for the detection of ionic metals..and also
read the evaluation of the test by the University of Newcastle
.
With the plastic pipette place some 'test substance'
(water, urine etc.) into the test tube and on top of the
green TESSOL. Fill up to approx. ¾ of the test tube
(3.5 ml). Shake vigorously for approx. 10 seconds.
Stand up the test tube on the white cap. Wait
until the 'colour band' settles out on top of the 'liquid
portion' underneath. Observe colour.
If
colour shows anything but green...Ionic
metals are present!
Let
us assume that the colour changed away from green. That
means that 'environmental metals' are
contained in the tap water you have tested or the urine
sample etc.
'Pure
water' is always green!
A truly healthy person always shows a green colour
of the urine test!
How do I know that?
Here are a couple of tests you can do in order to SEE that
this is a true statement:
Get some 'demineralised' water from the super
market. You can get that in the 'laundry department'. It is normally used in
irons etc. in order to prevent calcium build up...because
there is no calcium in that water. nor are there other 'minerals' or
metals (calcium, magnesium etc. are really metals). You also
can use distilled water.
Now place some of that demineralised water
into the test tube in which you have prepared the green test
solution. You will see that the sample stays absolutely green..no
matter how hard you shake.
NOTE :
you can do the same test with bottled water you purchase. or
any other water you drink. Only drink water that does not
change the colour of the test away from green!
If you want to SEE how metals change the colour of the test
please do the following experiment:
Prepare
a test as above with demineralised water. The test will
be green.
Now
place a piece of copper wire (or a small piece of lead,
a zinc plated screw etc.) into the test tube and shake
vigorously for a while. You will SEE the specific
colour of the specific metal developing!
But
we still don't know why a 'healthy person' should have
a green test result. This statement is based mainly on our
own observation through hundreds of individual tests. When
we test 'people of the street' we will see that sometimes
up to 100% of people show colour in their urine sample (see
also India Testing and China Testing).
When
I gave a seminar in Perth (Astralia) we tested 35 people. Out of these
35 people the majority showed a murky/coppery colour. One
test was green. Later on I was told that copper levels
in the Perth water supply is high which would account for
the coppery colour..and the lady with the one and only green
sample had taken CH77 for a while.
The
problem in Perth may not only be caused by metals in the
water supply, but also because of metals in the air from
mining activities. Metals are 'migratory' which means they 'float' around in the air.
It is said that there is not a single place on Earth where
we cannot find lead (from leaded petrol)..not even on the
North Pole. or where the Eskimos live.
In
China (Nanning), out of 35 people (mainly young medical
students) we tested only one young lady, who recently had
moved to Nanning from a mountainous area, showed a green test. On
the other hand, whenever I go to health exhibitions and
test health practitioners the 'rate' of green tests
is much higher than what we 'normally' find. Out of a hundred 'health
practitioners' up to 30% may show a green colour! Health
practitioners are meant to live a healthier life than the 'average'
person...and obviously that shows.
Which
does not mean that they may not be exposed to higher
amounts of 'environmental
metals' as well, but it means that due to a better functioning
body (healthy food, water, supplements) they are more able
to 'chelate' ionic metals. Here
is one example. One day a friend invited me to go with
him to the presentation of a 'miracle' food. Anything and
everything which is claimed to be 'miraculous' I am very
suspicious about. Often the miracle is in the money that rings
in the till of the salesperson.
Anyway
it turned out to be your 'normal' American 'ra,ra' approach (as I call all the
hype going along with 'multi level marketing' etc.). When
I was asked by the lady introducing the product: 'what are
your thoughts about it?' I answered: 'well, the next time
I see you I want to do an ionic metal test on your urine
sample..if it is green I will support your product..if the
test changes colour I will not support it!' I thought that was a good way out. The next time I saw the
lady at a place where I tested quite a number of people,
she gave me a urine sample. It was green ! Then she
gave me another urine sample..that of a friend of hers taking
the same 'miracle food'. That was green as well !
Wow.I thought, the stuff really works! I guess I will never
get involved in 'Mannatech' (that is what the 'stuff' is
called)...but I was certainly and pleasantly surprised...and
it would be interesting to test more people taking the 'miracle'
food. Green
is obviously desirable. Green means NO ionic transition
metals present. Generally ionic transition metals have
no place in a human body since they are electrically charged,
stick to tissues and build up to toxic levels..and also are
known to produce avalanches of free radicals (through the
metal mediated Fenton reaction)..full stop.
Now I assume that everyone reading this article has heard
about 'chelation' and 'chelation therapy'. Much research
has been conducted over the years...but apart from some controversy
(as always there are people with different 'opinions') and
the more 'unproven' the opinion is the more dogmatic people
become..see religion!) there seems to be a good amount of 'anecdotal'
evidence that chelation can be very helpful. The internet
is a good source for reading material concerning the topic.
In
our case we do not have to rely entirely on 'opinion'
or 'guess work'. We have some proof and hope to get a lot
more!
What is that proof? Let us look at the following scenario:
Collect a sample of tap water in a small sample
jar or a small glass.
Perform an ionic metal test. The green colour
of the TESSOL changes..to say 'reddish'. We KNOW that ionic
metals are present since the IHMT detects ionic metals ONLY.
We do not worry too much what kind of metal may be present..only
THAT ionic metals are present.
Now place a couple of drops of CH77 into
the water sample and perform a new test .
The test will be GREEN ! All ionic metals
have been chelated or made electrically neutral!
That is what we want to see in a urine sample as well! The
procedure is exactly the same!
Prepare
a green solution as per above and add some urine from a
urine sample in a sample jar.
If
the colour changes (i.e. ionic metals present) add
some drops of CH77 to the urine sample in the sample
jar and perform a new test.
Test now must be green !
NOTE :
in case the test is not entirely green it is an indication
that there are very large amounts of ionic metals in the
sample and you have to add more CH77. It also indicates,
of course, that the person is a bad chelator and will need
much more CH77 than the recommended 'starting
dose' of 3 ml.
In
some cases people have to take 20 ml of CH77 per day and
more in order to get the test colour of the sample back
to green! Huge amounts of metals can accumulate over many
years in various tissues of the body. Certain metals seem
to have an 'affinity' to certain organs (we
spoke about that previously).
Just
the other day a practitioner rang and asked for how long
a person needs to take CH77 until ALL ionic metals are
removed, i.e. the test stays green. There are two answers
to the questions: 'how long is a piece of string'..and that
is what I prefer: 'I am not clairvoyant'! The TEST will
show that ! What I am absolutely certain of is that ionic
metals which have accumulated over years are not expelled
or eliminated within a day or two! In some cases it may take
years to get rid of all ionic metals. The patient simply
has to be tested from time to time to SEE how things are
going. If a person has taken (say) two bottles of CH77 over
a period of 2 months, stop CH77 for a couple of days and
perform a urine test. If the test is green the patient may
not need CH77 any more. If there is colour in the test again
more CH77 has to be taken!
Some
people may not like that idea. but I always try to make
sick people aware of the fact that it took them a long time
to get into the 'mess' they are in...and in all fairness it
may take a while to get out of 'that mess' again.
The
positive part of out approach is that it is so 'visible'.
We can SEE the progress over a certain period of time...can
SEE when and how the colour changes. In many cases people
will 'feel' the difference a long time before they can see
it. Once metals are being chelated they cannot interfere
as much any more with the 'electromagnetic phenomena which
determine all life processes' (German researchers.especially
Professor F.A. Popp).
Some
(so far verbal) feedback from America (from a research
scientist) is that autistic children 'improved by 50%' between
1 to 3 days after receiving their first 'sip' of CH77! When
we deal with ionic metals it sometimes seems to be a bit
like 'switching a light switch on and off'.
I
hope that this will help and make the 'testing
and proving' issue a bit clearer. If you have further questions,
please write to me. We may collect individual questions
and my answers to these questions and put them together
in a FAQ sheet which we can send out to all of you. Most
questions asked are similar.
